Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in Jiangzheng, Shiwan, Zhuqiao coastal zone of Shanghai Pudong New Area. The area is 40 km2, it’s about 30 km away from downtown. In 2011, Pudong airport protected aircraft movements 344200 vehicles, passengers throughput reached 41442300 passengers, cargo throughput reached 3108600 tons. Pudong airport accounted for six of the total number of flights across Shanghai airport, international passage throughput ranked first in the domestic airport, cargo throughput ranked third in the world airport. Navigation Pudong airport has reached 48 Chinese and foreign airlines, routes covering more than 90 international (regional) cities, 62 domestic cities.
