Detailed Introduction Technical Specifications

The GW23(GT9)-252D/2500-50 double-column (horizontal-break) folding outdoor AC high-voltage disconnect switch is designed for use in 50 Hz AC systems with a rated voltage of 220 kV. It is employed to provide electrical isolation of high-voltage lines, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment under no-load conditions, and can also be used for switching operations. This product is a mature solution recommended by our company for high-voltage distribution networks. It was developed through substantial improvements based on an analysis of the shortcomings of existing disconnect switches, including overheating of the conductive circuit, failure of the operating mechanism, and severe corrosion of metal components. The product boasts numerous advantages, such as an aesthetically pleasing appearance, a simple structure, excellent corrosion resistance, superior seismic performance, and safe and reliable electrical and mechanical characteristics.

1. Advanced friction-type contacts

Good electrical conductivity

Ensures low loop resistance.

Each contact is equipped with an independent spring.

The spring does not carry current and has a long service life.

2. The switch can self-lock in both the closed and open positions, effectively preventing the moving and stationary contacts from separating due to wind forces, electromagnetic forces, or other external influences.
3. The transmission assembly employs oil-free bearings and copper-alloy bushings, which provide self-lubrication, thereby reducing rust and jamming in the rotating components.
4. Use rust-resistant aluminum and stainless steel materials to prevent surface corrosion;
5. Different surface treatment methods shall be selected based on the application environment, including hot-dip galvanizing with paint coating, Dacromet, and nickel-phosphorus alloy composite plating. For transmission components, the nickel-phosphorus alloy composite plating process is employed, which offers superior wear resistance compared with Dacromet.
6. The main switch is a three-pole interlocked type, with both electric and manual operating modes.
7. Equipped with a grounding switch

Manual operation

Same short-circuit current carrying capacity as an isolating switch

It features both electrical and mechanical interlocks with the isolating switch.

8. Install an ice-breaking device
9. Large contact area between moving and stationary contacts
10. A return spring and a clamping spring are employed to ensure smooth clamping operation and consistent, reliable clamping force.
11. The silver-plated surface is coated with a novel electronic oil, effectively slowing down the oxidation of the silver layer.
