The YBT13-40.5 series wind/PV American-style pad-mounted substation is a novel, wind/PV-specific substation product independently developed by Tian’an Electric, which fully integrates the advantages of compact design found in American-style wind/PV pad-mounted substations and the capability for distribution automation inherent in European-style units. This product combines a step-up transformer (with an axially double-split core), high-voltage vacuum switchgear, surge arresters, intelligent low-voltage vacuum circuit breakers, and associated auxiliary equipment into a single, integrated package. It steps up the 690 V (or 270 V) output from wind (or photovoltaic) generation units to the 35 kV voltage level before delivering power via cable lines, making it an ideal matching device for wind (or photovoltaic) power generation systems. Domestically, it is among the earliest products to be researched, manufactured, and put into operation, and currently boasts a large installed base in the market.
Scope of Application: Wind Farms, Photovoltaic Power Plants
1) Conducted type tests at an altitude of 3,500 meters;
2) Compact and miniaturized design: for products of the same capacity (below 1600 kVA), the footprint is only 58% of that of a typical European-style pad-mounted substation.
3) The main heating element (the transformer itself) is installed outdoors, while all other electrical equipment is housed in a metal enclosure with an IP54 protection rating.
4) Three options are available for the high-voltage unit: a vacuum load switch–fuse combination, a vacuum circuit breaker, or C-GIS.
5) Equipped with a gas relay that provides light-gas alarms and heavy-gas protection, thereby providing gas protection for the system;
6) Rain- and snow-proof, sand- and dust-proof, corrosion-resistant, and fully enclosed, ensuring suitability for long-term outdoor use;
7) The entire substation is designed with intelligent automation, and the protection system employs a substation microcomputer-based integrated automation device, enabling “four remotes” functionality.
8) In accordance with the design institute’s requirements, we can undertake the non-standard design and manufacturing of equipment in various capacities, thereby helping customers reduce capital investment.
