The 1E-class KYN44A-12 indoor armored, center-mounted AC metal-enclosed switchgear is a novel medium-voltage switchgear developed by Tian’an Electric specifically to meet the 1E-class requirements of nuclear power plants, taking into account the unique environmental conditions found at such facilities. The product fully complies with standards including IEEE 323, IEEE 344, HAF 003, IEC 298, and GB 3906, and is primarily used in nuclear power plants to perform functions such as emergency reactor shutdown, core cooling, containment and reactor heat removal, as well as to prevent significant radioactive releases or to provide supporting functions.
1) Rated current: 3,150 A; short-circuit breaking current: 50 kA;
2) The main switch shall be equipped with either a VEP solid-insulated pole circuit breaker or a VEC vacuum contactor–fuse combination unit.
3) The product can be wall-mounted and maintained from the front of the cabinet, thereby reducing the footprint.
4) Passing the Class 1E (nuclear-grade) seismic qualification test
5) Passing the Class 1E (nuclear-grade) aging-resistant test
6) Adequate cable installation space
