The KYN61-40.5 armored, withdrawable AC metal-enclosed switchgear is a complete indoor power distribution assembly for three-phase AC systems at 50 Hz and a rated voltage of 40.5 kV. It is used in power plants, for the transmission of power from small and medium-sized generators, for power distribution in industrial and mining enterprises and public institutions, as well as for receiving and delivering power in secondary substations of power systems and for starting large high-voltage electric motors, serving control, protection, and monitoring purposes. It features interlocking functions that prevent the operation of circuit-breaker hand carts under load, prevent inadvertent opening or closing of the circuit breaker, and prevent the accidental closing of the earthing switch while the system is energized.
1) Rated current up to 3,150 A; short-circuit breaking capacity of 31.5 kA.
2) Conducted a 4,000-meter high-altitude test;
3) Vacuum arc extinction and air insulation are employed;
4) The cabinet structure is modular, and the circuit breaker adopts a handcart-on-floor design.
5) The main switch may be a novel solid-insulated pole-type vacuum circuit breaker or a ZN85-40.5 composite-insulated vacuum circuit breaker;
6) The handcart frame is equipped with a lead-screw and nut actuation mechanism, which allows for easy movement of the handcart and prevents damage to the actuation mechanism due to accidental operation.
7) All operations can be performed with the cabinet door closed;
8) The cable compartment offers ample space, allowing for the connection of multiple cables;
