Beilun Power Plant
The Beilun Power Plant, also known as the Beilun Port Power Plant, is located in Xinmao Town, Beilun District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, right next to Hangzhou Bay. It was constructed in three phases and has a total installed capacity of With an installed capacity of 5 million kilowatts and covering an area of 1.1 square kilometers, it is China's first massive coal-fired power plant to reach an installed capacity of 5 million kilowatts—and also the country’s first power-generation enterprise built with a loan from the World Bank. In 2002, it was awarded the "Internationally First-Class" title by China's top electricity regulatory authority, making it one of only two power companies nationwide to receive this prestigious honor.
